Freshers Event to Remember - Imperial College Medics RAG x My Trove Jewels

For the second year in a row, My Trove Jewels joined forces with Imperial College Medics Raising and Giving (RAG) to bring something truly special to Freshers’ Week with a space to slow down, connect and create.

In a sea of high-energy events, ours stood out for its calm, communal vibe. What started as a simple beaded bracelet workshop turned into an afternoon of conversation, laughter and genuine connection.

The Experience

From 3–7 PM, students flowed in and out, creating their own beaded bracelets and exploring upgrade options, from metal necklaces and keyrings to bag charms and more. Some stayed the entire afternoon, chatting, creating, and meeting new friends in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Our team guided participants through each step, offering support while encouraging personal expression. The result? Over 100 attendees left not only with handmade pieces, but with a memory and a moment of calm amid the buzz of university life.

Growth and Impact

This year’s event marked a milestone for us. We made double what we did last year which was a clear reflection of our constant evolution, improved service, and deepening understanding of what people need from experiences like these.

Being recognised as the best Freshers’ event two years in a row was the cherry on top, a testament to how connection, creativity, and care always stand out.
